President’s Letter

February 1, 2019

It is truly an honor to have been selected as President of the New York Claim Association.  The association has continued to evolve and grow stronger largely due to the efforts of both the Board of Directors and our thriving membership base. Our membership is strong. Our events are well attended. We appear to be delivering on our core values: professional ethics and high standards, education and the advancement of our members.  We can always do more and look forward to that challenge in 2019.

We look forward to sharing another exciting and productive year with all our members.  The New York Claim Association is marking its 105th year.  This is truly an accomplishment and a testament of the commitment of its devoted membership. We hope that you will consider joining your colleagues for breakfast at one of our workshops this year. They are a great opportunity to network with other claims professionals and others in the industry and to stay abreast of any changes that impact all of us. Our next workshop will be held On March 1, 2019 so please check the website and look for an upcoming invitation.  Other events we are planning include another fantastic golf outing at the Cherry Valley Country Club on June 3rd and our Holiday Gala which will once again be held at the beautiful Harvard Club Club on December 14th.  We will once again host the “Meet the Board Event” in the fall.

If you are not already a member of the New York Claim Association, please consider joining. It is a great way to network and stay current with changes in the industry. If you are already a member, please consider bringing a non-member colleague as we help grow our membership.  If you would like to learn more about joining, please contact Tim Howlin our Membership Chair at 516-330-1270 or myself at 631-804-5487 or email us at

We look forward to seeing everyone at our next workshop!

With our collective dedication, we can advance the goals of the New York Claim Association and remain on the forefront of the insurance industry.
